Daughters of Charity Health System Creates Santa Clara County Market; O’Connor President & CEO James Dover, FACHE, to Lead New Endeavor

(Los Altos, Hills, CA) The Daughters of Charity Health System (DCHS) Board of Directors unanimously voted to approve the creation of a Santa Clara County Market with the appointment of James Dover, FACHE, as the Market Leader. Effectively immediately, Dover will step in and navigate the new strategic direction aligning O’Connor Hospital, San Jose; Saint Louise Regional Hospital, Gilroy; and DePaul Urgent Care, Morgan Hill to become a health care center of excellence in Santa Clara County.

“We’re moving forward with a value-based care delivery system focusing on population health management in our communities,” explains Dover. “This is an outstanding opportunity to serve our Mission through building a strong regional presence that brings together expertise and skills from our hospitals and multiple care sites in the South Bay.”

In his new position as President & CEO of the Santa Clara County Market, Dover will consult with board members, physicians, associates, and community members to gather input as DCHS moves closer to establishing a network of integrated, high quality care and strong regional leadership.

According to DCHS President & CEO Robert Issai, this strategic move addresses health care needs and safety issues of whole populations. “Closer collaboration of our health ministries will align operations to facilitate care coordination and transitions across care sites,” says Issai. “This will contribute to patient satisfaction as we work together to achieve the best possible health and wellness outcomes.”
